South Africa is ideally suited to be a launch pad to business entry into Africa. We successfully “exported” MTN now a global telco, and Walmart’s foray into Africa will start with its acquisition of Massmart South Africa. South Africa’s stable government, legislative environment and business friendly community all bode well for this place at the tip of the continent.
The dictum of “here be dragons” must surely now read “here be giants” and the giants go by the names MTN, Ecobank and Shoprite amongst others. These giants all answer though to the same call name that is “Opportunity”. HERE BE GIANTS INDEED

International conference destination
South Africa is a internationally recognised venue for conferences, seminars and trade shows. Not to mentioned world class in terms of sporting facilities and concerts. U2, Fifa and numerous others will attest to this fact. What’s not to love?
Soweto-Wandies-Vilakazi Street
I just love Soweto. The people, the place, the whole vibe just speaks of entrepreneurship, opportunity and industriousness,(is that a word?) I visted Wandies today, a township restaurant of international renown. The service is excellent, the food is great and the prices are reasonable.
Vilkazi Street, another famous tourist attraction is a must see, Mandela’s House is a national treasure and the house of Bishop Desmond Tutu is also close by. It is only here on Vilakazi Street that you will find not one but two Nobel Peace Prize winners in the guise of Nelson Mandela and Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu. There are also numerous restaurants and other places of interest.
Visiting Soweto I can find a hundred reasons why I love South Africa.
My Soweto cry
Soweto Soweto oh land of plenty
From tin shack and shanty
Roof to roof, wall to wall.
Filled with kind from every call
From the young and strong,
we are all filled with a similar song
leave me be,
Set me free,

The Fynbos Biome and the Cape Floral Kingdom
Traveling to the Cape I found another reason to love my country. Of the six floral kingdoms on the planet we have one of those right here in our country in its entirety. The Cape Floral Kingdom comprises a number of species and vegetation groups, Fynbos being probably the most famous and synonymous with The Cape region. Visit the Cape and experience this unique heritage and revel in the knowledge that we considered royalty in the flora and fauna kingdoms.
New gems that you did not know about
I just love that you can discover new places that you did know know about before. Langebaan is such a place and it’s so beautiful that when you first see it you cannot believe you eyes.. This is the ideal spot for kite-surfing for the adventurous and for the rest of us it has white beaches and romantic sunsets. Awesome sights, I just love it here, makes you love South Africa more and more each day.
V & A Water Front Cape Town
The best waterfront view in the world. Table Mountain in the background, a working harbour, world class restaurants and hotels and 20 million visitors a year makes this a good reason to love SA.
Mine dumps dotted across the landscape
Yellow heaps of mine sand across gold mining towns. Reminds me of golden beach sand and it has just a hint of truth in that it still contains faint traces of gold.
Wide open spaces
Wide open spaces that go on forever. Flat grasslands, rolling hills and blue skies. Endless horizons and white puffy clouds like candy floss.
