Lessons from Marikana

People will not starve for ever; will not wait for ever,

They will their own bondage sever!

They will not sweat in vain,

They will no longer their conscious stain,

They will not listen to fools for long,

For they have now their own song.

From the bowels of the earth,

From the empty stomach too,

We hear the rumble,

In its wake many stumble,

Who will listen but a few!
